ITALY, Calabria, Tarentum (Taras), (4th century B.C.), silver diobol, (1.212 grams), obv. Athena head to right, wearing crested helmet, rev. Herakles kneeling to right wrestling and strangling a lion, [T]APA**[S]* above, K between legs, (S.352, Vl.1297 [This Coin]). Toned, off centred on the obverse, extremely fine.
