GREAT BRITAIN, Bank of England (1928) one pound and ten shillings with the signature of C.P.Mahon, Chief Cashier, special presentation pair, both with serial number A01 000045. These notes were issued on 22nd November 1928 by the Bank of England following the bank assuming responsibility for printing and issuing the notes from the Treasury. Housed in a special presentation parchment (vellum) envelope, inscribed 'Bank of England 22nd November 1928'; together with a special presentation letter from the Bank of England (Duggleby B214). Uncirculated. (Four items)

Given by Lady Snowden to Lord Perry in 1941. Originally presented to Rt.Hon.Philip Snowden, M.P. by R.Norman on behalf of the Bank of England.
