L. MARCIUS PHILIPPUS, (c.56 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.96 g), obv. Ancus Marcius head to right, ANCVS and lituus behind, dotted border, rev. PHILIPPVS behind, equestrian statue to right on an arcade of five arches, within A Q V A MAR, flower below horse, (S.301, Cr.425/1, Syd.919a, B.Marcia 29). Toned, banker's mark and scratches on obverse, otherwise very fine.
