GROUP OF FIVE: 1939-45 Star; Africa Star; British War Medal 1939-45; New Zealand War Service Medal 1939-45; New Zealand Memorial Cross. First four medals unnamed, Memorial Cross impressed N.Z.1352 A.B.T.Collins. Uncirculated.

Ex.Ross Sutton Collection. Thomas Collins was onboard HMS 'Neptune' when the ship struck mines during the night of 18th-19th December 1941 and sank in about ten minutes. In July 1942 Lord Commissioner of the Admiralty directed that the deaths of the R.N.Z.N. personnel who had been reported missing on 19th December 1941, be officially presumed to have taken place on that date.
