ANCIENT ROMAN, assorted issues of mostly 3rd century, includes Julia Maesa, grandmother of Elagabalus, (c.A.D.218-225), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued 218-220, (2.58 g), obv. draped bust to right, IVLIA MAESA AVG, rev. PVDICITIA, Pudicitia seated to left, drawing out veil from shoulder and holding a sceptre, (S.7756, BMC 76, RIC 268, RSC 36) (illustrated); antoninianii of Valerian I (2), Valerian II, Salonina, Postumus, Victorinus, Aurelian, Numerian, Diocletian, Allectus half antoninianus, folles of Maximianus, Lugdunum mint (2) and Rome mint (S.13255); other AE of Caracalla, Augustus, Diocletian and Septimius Severus these poor - very good. Unless stated, very good - nearly extremely fine. (17)
