GORDIAN III (A.D. 238-244), silver antoninianus, Rome mint, issued 239, (5.58 g), obv. radiate bust of Gordian III to right, around IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG, rev. Aequitas standing to left, holding scales and cornucopiae, around AEQVITAS AVG, (S.8600, RIC 34, RSC 17). As struck, brilliant, about uncirculated.
