JULIA MAESA, grandmother of Elagabalus, (A.D. 218-222, d.225), AE sestertius, Rome mint, (24.29 g), obv. draped bust of Julia Maesa to right wearing diadem, around IVLIA MAESA AVGVSTA, rev. PIETAS AVG, Pietas standing left, right hand extended over altar, holding box of perfume in left, (S.7763, RIC 414, C.31, BMC 389). Green patination, good very fine or better and scarce.
