SOUTH ARABIA, Himyarite, under 'Amdan Bayyin (with Yanaf), 1st century A.D. (ANS date first century B.C.), (3.02 g) uncertain mint, silver unit or light denarius, obv. male head to left, with diadem, symbols before and behind, dotted border, rev. bucranium with antelope horns and plumes facing, symbols each side. (S.5712, BMC 30 [p.67] SNG ANS 1531-1545); South Arabia, Sabaeans and Himyarites, under 'Amdan Bayyin [without Yanaf], (mid 1st - 2nd century A.D.), scyphate silver quinarius, (1.27, 1.55 g), Raidan mint, obv. Male head to right, monogram behind, rev. male head right with Himyarite legend around, monogram in field to right, (S.5718, BMC 1-3 [p.71, Pl.XI, 11], SNG ANS 1602-1609). Gray patina, one with hoard patination, good fine - nearly extremely fine, scarce. (3)
