MACEDON, Roman Provincial issue, (c.90-75 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, issued under Quaestor Aesillas, (16.37 g), Thessalonica mint, obv. head of Alexander the Great to right, with horn of Ammon and flowing hair, [MAKE**DONWN]*, **Q* behind, rev. AESILLAS / Q below, club between money chest and quaestor's chair, all within olive wreath, (S.1463, BMC 81-3 [p.19], McClean 3716-7, Weber 2253, Winterthur 1658-9, SNR Bauslaugh Group VI, dies 32A/139, Pl.7], SNG Cop. 1328-1330). Grey tone, extremely fine and scarce.
