CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 198, Laodicea ad Mare mint, (2.820 grams), obv. laureate bust to right of Caracalla, draped and cuirassed, around IMP C M AVR ANTONI NVS PONT AVG, rev. Justitia seated to left, holding patera and sceptre, around IVSTI TIA, (S.-, RIC 331A, RSC 113b). Uneven tone, extremely fine, scarce.
