SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Emesa mint, issued A.D. 194, (3.474 grams), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around IMP CAE L SEP SEV PERT AVG COS II, rev. around MONET AVG, Moneta standing left, holding scales and cornucopiae, (S.6314, RIC 411a, RSC 330). Toned, nearly extremely fine and very scarce.
