COMMODUS, (A.D. 177-192), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 179, (2.938 grams), obv. laureate head of Commodus to right, around L AVREL COM MODVS AVG, rev. around TR P IIII IMP III COS II P P, Victory seated to left holding patera and palm, (S.5703, RIC 666, RSC 775, BMC 801). Slighty off centred on the reverse, bright, good very fine/very fine and scarce.
