FAUSTINA JUNIOR, wife of Marcus Aurelius, (d.A.D. 175), silver denarius, issued 161-175, Rome mint, (3.198 grams), obv. FAVSTINA AVGVSTA, draped bust to right, rev. FECVN DITAS, Fecunditas standing to right, holding sceptre and child, (S.5252, RSC 99, RIC 677, BMC 91). Lightly toned, extremely fine and scarce.

Ex Patrick Cooper Collection with his ticket and previously from B.A. Seaby (London), Coin and Medal Bulletin List 382, (1951) No.B341 (bought for 7/6!).
