MARCUS AURELIUS AS CAESAR, (A.D. 161-180), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 144, (2.954 grams), obv. bare head of Marcus Aurelius to right, around AVRELIVS CAE SAR PII F, rev. around COS II, Honos standing to left, holding branch and cornucopiae, (cf.S.4784, BMC A594, RIC A429a, RSC 110). Lightly toned, as struck, good extremely fine and rare in this condition.

Ex Patrick Cooper Collection with his ticket and previously from Spink & Son (London), November 1949 Numismatic Circular No.7182 (for 8/6!).
