DOMITIAN, (A.D. 81-96), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 87, (3.368 grams), obv. laureate head of Domitian to right, around IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM P M TR P [M], rev. around IMP XIIII COS XIIII CENS P P P, Minerva standing to right on vessel, in fighting pose holding javelin and shield, (cf.S.2730 [£55 VF], RIC 107, RSC 235). Very fine.
