VESPASIAN, (A.D. 69-79), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 74, (3.568 grams), obv. laureate head of Vespasian to right, around IMP CAESAR VESPASIANV[S AVG], rev. Vespasian seated to right holding branch and sceptre, PON MAX TR P COS V around, (cf.S.2300 [£65 VF], RIC 77, RSC 364). Good very fine and scarce.
