AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), AE as, posthumous issue, Rome mint, issued under Tiberius, issued A.D. 22-30, (11.028 grams), obv. radiate head of Augustus to left, around DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER, rev. PROVIDENT in exergue, facade of altar enclosure of the Ara Providentiae Augusti, with doubled panelled door and horns on altar, S C across field, (S.1789 [£150 VF], RIC 81, BMC 146). Very fine/ good very fine, scarce.
