LYDIA, Sardis, Germanicus, (c.A.D. 30-40), AE 15, (3.050 grams), obv. bare head of Germanicus to left, **GERMANIKIS KAISAR*, rev. Athena helmeted standing to left, holding spear etc., around **SARDIANWN MNASEAS*, (S.357, RPC 2993, Weber 6906). Dark brown-black patina, good fine and rare.

RPC notes a total of 25 reported examples and most coming from the Sardis excavations.
