BOEOTIA, Thebes, (378-338 B.C.), silver stater, (11.562 grams), obv. Boeotian shield, rev. amphora with two vine leaves from top and with letter E/**Y* E either side, club above, (cf.S.2398, Hepworth Series A1-2, No.46, BMC 141 [p.82], SNG Cop. 333). Well centred obverse, slightly off centred reverse, good very fine/very fine and a scarce type.
