CONSTANTINE IV, (668-685), solidus, Constantinople mint, Class III, issued 674-681, (4.234 grams), obv. helmeted three-quarter cuirassed bust to right, with frontal plume, holding spear and shield, dN C A NUSP around, rev. Cross potent on three steps, between Heraclius and Tiberius, Officina H, around VICTOR AVGU A, CONOB in exergue, (S.1154, DOC 8d, T.28, BMC 11). Weakly struck on parts of legend, otherwise extremely fine, rare variant with mint bloom.
