JULIAN II, (A.D. 360-363), gold solidus, Sirmium mint, issued A.D. 361-3, (4.482 grams), obv. diademed bust of Julian II to right, around F L C L IVLIA NVS P P AVG, rev. in wreath, VIRTVS EX ERCI TVS ROMANORVM, in exergue SIRM wreath, Julian advancing to right, head turned, dragging captive by hair and holding trophy, (cf.S.4066, RIC 94, C.78, Depeyrot 20 [p.209]). As struck, good extremely fine and very rare.
