CILICIA, Nagidus, (c. 370 B.C.), silver stater, (10.70 g), obv. Aphrodite enthroned to left, feet on stool, holding phiale over altar, Eros stands behind her, rev. Dionysos standing with head to l., holding grape cluster with right hand, left hand holding thyrsos, **NAGIDEW N* around, above A in circle, all within dotted border, (S.5585, Lederer 26 [same dies, Pl.XI], SNG Levante -). Brilliant, good extremely fine, rare.

Ex Noble Numismatics Auction Sale 99 (lot 3692) and previously in Sale 78 (lot 5046), acquired from Sotheby's New York Auction (Athena Fund), December 9, 1993 (lot 173).
