PELOPONNESOS, Sikyonia, Sikyon, (issued 430 - 390 B.C.), silver stater, (12.20 g), obv. Chimaera walking to right, **SE* below, rev. dove flying to right, bow behind near wing all within olive wreath, (cf.S.2763, BMC 65, BCD 193 [LHS 96, p.64], BMC -, Traite 776 [Pl.CCXX, 14], = Pozzi 1797. Bright, extremely fine and a very rare variety.

Ex Noble Numismatics privately June 3, 2011.
The BCD example in similar condition cited above realised 5000 SFr. + 15%.
