BOIOTIA, Boiotian League, Federal Coinage, probably struck at Thebes, (395-340 B.C.), silver hemidrachm, (2.68 g), obv. Boeotian shield, rev. amphora with letter BO I**W* on either side, above a club, all within an incuse square, (cf.S.2396, BCD Triton IX, 21 [same reverse die], Head 'Boeotia' p.54, Dewing 1509 [same reverse die], SNG Cop. 170-1). Very fine and scarce.
