MACEDON, Kingdom of, Antigonos Gonatas, silver tetradrachm, 277-239 B.C., (17.00 g), obv. Pan's head to left, with pedium on shoulder, all within Macedonian shield, rev. Athena Alkidemos advancing to left, with thunderbolt and shield, Macedonian helmet in field to left, TI monogram to right, to right **BASILEWS*, to left **ANTIGONOU*, (S.6783, SNG Berry 358-9, SNG Cop 1202, SNG Hart 517). Surface marks on reverse, otherwise good very fine and scarce.
