MACEDON, Kingdom of Philip III, (323-316 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.30 g), Side mint, issued 323-319 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right with lion skin, rev. Zeus seated to left, eagle in outstretched hand, A under throne, to right **FILIPP[OU]*, dotted border, (cf.S.6751, Price P123, BMC P123, M.P122, SNG Oxford 3240). Well centred, bright, good extremely fine and a scarce variety.
