FRANCE, French Foreign Office medal, (1925), in bronze (64mm), by Daniel Dupuis, obverse, bust of female right with branch of laurel woven through hair, reverse, plain except for legend and inscribed, 'A/Monsieur Pierre Herry/Le 11 Juin 1925'; Alliance Francaise, (1934), teacher's service award in silver (50mm), by Daniel Dupuis, obverse, female teacher seated with student children around, reverse, open book with laurel branch behind, on the book is a panel inscribed, 'Pierre Herry/Sydney/1934'. In cases of issue, nearly uncirculated; uncirculated. (2)

Pierre Herry of France was a representative of the International Labor Office of the League of Nations in 1924. In 1925 he was living in Melbourne and with the French Bank and was also an Honorary Secretary of the Alliance Francaise organisation. He moved from Melbourne to Sydney in late 1926 and was the Secretary of the Alliance Francaise in Sydney, a position he was still holding in 1934.
