WWI ORIGINAL PAPER MAP OF KOJA CHEMEN TEPE, Gallipoli (known as Hill 971) in b&w, signed at bottom, 'JMA Durrant'; and on back marked, 'G.O.C. 13th Division' and initialled 'JMAD'. Taped on back to repair tears, especially on folds, and some other tears along edges, otherwise fine.

Major General James Murdoch Arthur Durrant CMG, DSO, Australian Army. Served as Captain with 13Bn 20Dec1914 and then Major from 02May1915 and to Gallipoli for historical battle for Hill 971, the highest point of the Sari Bair Ridge, Gallipoli.
