ITALY, Carmagnola (Piedmont), Michele Antonio, Marquis of Saluzzo, (1504-1528), silver cornuto (5.69 g), obv. around MICHAEL ANT : M : SALVTIARVM : Crowned helmet with eagle crest over shield, rev. : SANCTVS : CONSTANTIVS : Saint Constantius on horseback to right, below, annulet, (CNI II, p. 81, 94. Varesi 146). Lightly toned, slightly double struck, edge split, very fine and rare.

Ex Decades Collection and acquired from Ponterio & Associates, Sale 129, January 16-17, 2004 (lot 1930).
