SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Laodicea mint, issued A.D. 198, (3.42 g), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around L SEP SEV AVG IMP XI PART MAX, rev. around LIBERTAS AVGG, Libertas standing half left, holding pileus and rod, (S.6308, RIC 507, RSC 306). Good very fine, scarce.
