PALESTINE, Judaea, King Herod I, (40 - 4 B.C.), copper prutah, AE 16, (1.78 g), obv. cross surrounded by closed diadem, traces of legend around, rev. tripod table flanked by dotted border, (S.5528, H.1181, Meshorer 41). Attractive patination, full flan, off centred obverse, very fine, rare.
