LYDIA, Sardes, Germanicus, father of Gaius (Caligula), brother of Claudius, died 19 A.D., AE 16mm (3.36 g), by Mnaseas a magistrate, obv. Bare head left **GERMANIKOS KAISAR, rev. Athena standing left, holding phiale, **MNA-SEAS* down left field, **SARDIAN[WN]*, (S.357, RPC I 2993, SNG Cop., BMC Lydia 113 corr. [no phiale], Weber 6906, Waddington 5234-5). Very fine with red-brown patina.
