GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), silver antoninianus, Rome mint, issued A.D. 239, (4.93 g), obv. radiate bust right, around IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG, rev. P M TR P II COS P P, with Victory advancing to left holding a wreath and palm, (S.8635, RIC 19, RSC 199). Toned, extremely fine with unusually shaped flan.
