MOESIA INFERIOR, Nicopolis ad Istrum, Septimius Severus, (A.D. 217-218), AE 17, (3.04 g), obv. laureate cuirassed head of Septimius Severus to right, around AV KAI CE. CEYHPOC, rev. Apollo standing to left, holding a patera and laurel branch, around **NIKOPOLIT WN PR* OC ICTPV, (S.-, Varbanov 2549 [noted as R3], Pick 1407 and cf.1340 [p.372, Pl.XV, 7]). Even black tone, very fine and rare.
