CONSTANTINE VI, with Leo III, Constantine V, and Leo IV. 780-797, gold solidus (4.37 g), Constantinople mint, struck 780-c.787, obv. LEONVS SESSON CONSTANTINOSO [NEOS], with crowned and draped figures of Leo IV and Constantine VI seated facing on ornamented throne, cross between, rev. LEON PAP' CONSTANTINOS PATHR, crowned facing busts of Leo III and Constantine V, each wearing a loros, (S.1584 [Leo IV], cf.DOC 2 (Leo IV), Feg 1.B.2). Extremely fine and very rare, struck from worn dies.
