C. VIBIUS C.F. C.n. Pansa Caetronianus, silver denarius, issued 48 B.C., 3.85 grams, Rome Mint, Crawford 449/1a, Sydenham 947, B. Vibia 18, BMC 3978, Obv. Mask of bearded Pan to r., below PANSA, border of dots, Rev. Jupiter seated to l., laureate holding patera in r. hand and sceptre in l. hand on r. side [C.VIBIVS] C.F.C.N downwards, and IOVIS AXVR upwards on l., dotted border. Toned, slightly off centred, nearly extremely fine and rare, (1456).

The moneyer was a Consul in 43 B.C., and the adopted son of C.Vibius C.f. Pansa who issued coins in 90 B.C. He used some of the types of his father for his issues. The mask of Pan refers to his cognomen Pansa.
