JUSTINIANUS I, (A.D. 527-565), gold semissis, Constantinople mint, (2.21 g), obv. diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Justinian I to right, D N IVSTINI ANVS PP AVI around, rev. VICTORIA AVCCC, around, CONOB in exergue, Victory seated to right, to left *, to right chi-rho symbol, (S.143, DOC 17, BMC 21). On a broad flan, weak in places, crinkled, otherwise very fine.
