BUTESHIRE, Rothsay Mills, two shillings and sixpence, a cut half of a Charles III Mexico City Mint eight reales, 1773 countermarked with 'Payable at Rothsay Mills' in a circle around 2/6 in a sunken inner circle (Manville 93). Evenly worn, flat in centre of countermark, legend good fine, overall good and very rare.
