POLITICAL TOKEN, George III cartwheel twopence, 1797, obverse hand inscribed, 'E.Caulfield Cuckfield', reverse hand inscribed, 'Reform bill passed 4th June 1832', all inscriptions in script style. Coin very good, inscriptions fine.

Cuckfield is a large village in the Mid Sussex District of West Sussex, England. The 1832 Reform Act was a major step forward in the reformation of the Parliamentary voting system. Although it was of little immediate benefit to the working class it was a step in the right direction.
