FRANCE, Carolingian issue, Louis the Pious, (814-840), silver denarius, later period issue, blundered inscriptions and legend, obv. cross in circle, dots in angles, IIIIIIIIIOIIIIIIIII around, rev. temple, OIIIOIIIIIIIIIOIIII around, (Roberts 1136). Toned, nearly extremely fine and rare.
