GERMANY, WWI Group of Five: Iron Cross 2nd Class WWI; Brunswick War Merit Cross 2nd Class with 'Probationer's Badge' (for minimum two years front line service) 1914-18; Bavaria Order of Military Merit 4th Class with swords; Cross of Honour Combattant 1914-18; Bavaria Jubilee Medal for the Army 1905. Angular mounting with medals in right to left order as 'Frankenspange', enamel chip on the third medal, otherwise extremely fine.

Together with matching riband bar with all attachments and in correct left to right order as worn on uniform. The Frankenspange was meant to be worn on civilian attire for formal occasions and the medals as Frankenspange were mounted in reverse order to show that the wearer was no longer in active service.
