The original pioneering Conrad Dallinger came to Australia in the mid 1800s to escape the hostilities of the Prussian War. After arriving in Sydney he purchased a bullock dray and after the long, slow overland journey he finally took up land at Mungabareena, just outside what was then the village of Albury. This was later to become the site of the Albury aerodrome. Just prior to WWI the back paddocks of the Dallinger's property were made available to the military authorities as a training area.

Together with research and various newspaper articles and cuttings relating to the Dallinger family.
