AELIA VERINA, wife of Leo I, as Augusta, (457-474 A.D.), AE 19, (3.09 g), Constantinople mint, obv. around AEL VER INA AVG, Pearl-diademed and draped bust right, rev. around [SALVS] REI PVBLICA[E], Victory seated right, holding shield inscribed with chi-rho on cippus, in exergue [CONE], (S.4345, RIC X 655; LRBC 2253). Good fine/fair and very rare.
