QUEEN VICTORIA, National Art Competition, established 1857, awarded 1864, uniface copper electrotype medal by Antoine Vechte (Eimer 1512), in centre diademed bust left, around, 'VICTORIA QUEEN BY THE GRACE OF GOD 1857', around this is a continuous scene of nude allegorical figures, at the base, 'FOR SUCCESS IN THE NATIONAL ART COMPETITION, named to 'Edward R White/1861./Stage VIII b', with flat plain reverse, 145mm, in base of original maroon leather fitted case and mounted under glass in a timber frame; also an Indian temple token. The first cleaned, very fine; the second good very fine. (2)
