WELLINGTON POINT A.H. & I.Association, undated (1904), award medal in silver (35mm), obverse with farm animals by A.Parkes, reverse by A.H.W. & Co, reverse inscribed, 'W.G.Ison/Two (2) Wheel/Dog Cart of Gig'. Nearly extremely fine and rare.

Wellington Point is a suburb of Redland City east of Brisbane on the edge of Moreton Bay. Medal not listed in Williams. A report on the Wellington Point Agricultural, Horticultural and Industrial Association annual show published in The Queenslander, 2 July 1904, stated, 'The silver medal for the best two-wheeled gig or dog-cart, was awarded to Mr. W.G.Ison, of Boggo road, for a very smart little gig, made entirely of local timber, with the single exception of the shafts, which are Melbourne blue gum.'
