THE OLD IDENTITIES ASSOCIATION, Ballarat, 1851-1854, in silver (32.5mm) with silver suspender 'Ballarat' by C.A.Welch, Ballarat (Charles Andrew Welch, Jeweller, 23 Sturt Street, Ballarat), on reverse 'Arrived' and inscribed, 'Aug / 53 / B.W.Wright'. Very fine and extremely rare.

Ex Dr John M.Chapman Collection, Noble Numismatics Sale 88 (lot 721) and Spink Australia Sale 22 (lot 1571).

Ray Jewell knew of two other specimens, one in the Museum Victoria Collection, the other a specimen without the bar, in the Gold Museum at Sovereign Hill, Ballarat.
