RUSSIA, Alexander II and Alexander III, copper medal (51mm) by Charles Wiener, an issue as a commemorative medal (and probably a prize medal) for the opening of the Russian Manufacturing Exhibition in St. Petersburg in 1870, obv. seated personification of Industry surrounded by industry implements and factories, rev. naked child figures around text of details etc; another bronze medal (46mm) by P. Shteinman and S.Bazhenin, an exhibition medal for the Exhibition at Moscow in 1882; obv. bust of Alexander III, rev. Mother Russia seated surrounded by implements of society. Extremely fine, both rare. (2)
