CAPTAIN JAMES COOK, memorial medal, (1784), in bronze (43mm) by L.Pingo for the Royal Society (M.H.374; BHM.258). Minor obverse rim bruise at 2 o'clock, some darker toned and dull areas, otherwise good extremely fine and scarce, 577 struck.
