CONVICT LOVE TOKEN, engraved on a smoothed Great Britain halfpenny, obverse, 'BRIDGET/MOORE' and below a heart with arrow through it, reverse, 'Aged/28', decorative etching around edge on obverse and reverse. Very fine.
Bridget Ann Moore was convicted at Surrey Assizes in 1795 to a term of seven years. She was one of 131 convicts that departed England in October 1795 aboard the convict ship Indispensible, arriving at New South Wales on 30 May 1796.
