TRAJAN, (A.D. 98-117), silver denarius, issued 104-111, Rome mint (3.1 g), obv. bust of Trajan right, slight drapery on his left shoulder, around IMP TRAIANO AVG GER DEC PM TR P COS V P P, rev. trophy consisting of a military tunic surmounted by a helmet set on a tree trunk and festooned with shields and arms, at the base more military hardware, around S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCIPI (cf.S.3169, RIC 226, RSC 571). Fine.
